The Abundant Life

Your continued faithfulness in these simple studies indicates a heart that God will surely bless abundantly. “Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

Meeting Christ and receiving Him as Lord and Savior of your life may take only a moment of time, but getting to know Him is a matter of growing spiritually by reading the Bible, praying, and fellowshipping with other Christians. Sin is the only thing that will block our relationship with Jesus.

Remember to prayerfully search the Bible for the answers to the questions in this lesson.

1. Why did God send Jesus Christ to us? (John 3:17)

2. What is Jesus’ purpose for coming into our lives and saving us? (John 10:10 consult the last part of the verse)

3. What is the abundant life? (John 16:24)

4. How is the change in our lives brought about? (15:3)

5. If His Word is going to change us, what 2 things must we do?

6. What is truth? (14:6: 17:16-17)

7. What does God promise those who Know the truth? (8:32)

8. From what does God promise to set us free through the Son? (8:32-36)

9. What new promise belongs to those who believe and follow Christ? (14:13)

10. What are God’s conditions for answered prayer?

11. If you are a believer, were you included in Christ’s prayer? (17:20)

12. In His prayer what was Christ longing for? (17:24)

13. In His prayer what does Christ:

If you belong to Christ, remember always that He prayed for you. If you do not belong to Him, you can receive Him as your Lord and Savior right where you are, right now!

14. When Jesus Christ is within us, what can He do for us as we face the following problems?

It is God’s desire that “your joy may be full” by answering your prayers. Have you asked and received a specific answer to prayer in the last month?

A suggestion to help you pray, have a specific time to pray every day. Have a list of friends, relatives, unsaved people and other requests you want God to answer. Believe God will give you what you ask.
